community project thread, add feedback and thoughts here: https://community.shapertools.com/t/kia-ev6-subwoofer-mount/11446 included is an SVG file for fabricating with Origin. ( https://www.shapertools.com/en-us/origin ) a DXF file for any other digital fabrication technique. ( waterjet / laser / traditional cnc ) and a couple of pdf print files for bandsaws / jigsaws / scroll saws ( A4 and letter, note printers dont print all the way to the edge, so so there is a ruler printer to confirm you have the right scale, and help you line up the prints ) Remove the old sub, no idea if it even works. the hole pattern is set up for a KICKER 46HS10 subwoofer, With an engraving bit cut the pilot holes for the 4 mounting holes, the holes are 5mm diameter. Cut the file out of a suitably ridged panel, I'd recommend approx. 3/4" ply. make a note of the "car rear" noted in the file, so you can orient the sub correctly when installing. Instead of figuring out all the different bevel angles for it to seat nicely, with a conventional trim router i just put a 1/4" radius around the bottom. and a 1/16" radius on the top sand / paint attach the sub first then attach the panel to the mounting points of the car. wire / tinker / enjoy
